Wade-O Radio Producer D.Royul wins McDonald’s Gospelfest 2017 Christian Rap Category

In early March, we shared the news that Wade-O Radio Show producer Daniel “D.Royul” Cody was named a finalist in the McDonald’s Gospelfest 2017 competition.

On Saturday, May 13, the event returned to Newark’s Prudential Center, where some of Gospel Music’s biggest stars graced the stage. Donnie McClurkin, Erica Campbell, Hezekiah Walker, Israel Houghton, Bishop Paul Morton, Anthony Brown & Group Therapy and Greater Allen AME Cathedral were all in attendance.

D.Royul took to Instagram to document and share the event, and its outcome. “As I sit on my bed and reflect on tonight’s events, I am humbled that the Lord would see fit to give me anything in my favor.  I’m not perfect, and I mess up a lot, but every opportunity that He hands me to proclaim the Gospel with the talents He has given me, I will receive that assignment with joy every time! It’s official – 2017 McDonald’s Gospelfest Rap Category winner: Daniel “D.Royul” Cody.”

Congratulations to Wade-O Radio Show producer D.Royul on this accomplishment!

D.Royul released his sophomore album Under the Terebinth Tree in 2015 and recently released his third album, Duality of Worship.
