Lampmode artist Json returns for his 6th studio album with No Filter. In his recent interview with DJ Wade-O Json, now the label president, said that No Filter is the first Lampmode project to be created, start to finish, since he started in his new role. For more about the concept of the album, check out Json’s explanation released with the music video for “Preacha Man”:

“This project is really about revealing my true identity—the best and worst parts of myself—and pointing listeners to the cross, where there is grace for each of us. I want people to know, we all have flaws, we all have a past that molded our identity. But ultimately, when we come to know Jesus, our identity transforms. We are new creatures in Christ.”

Independent artist Sean C. Johnson delivers Circa 1993 today. The album is Sean’s “origin story,” centering around four major life events that all occurred in 1993. If you aren’t familiar with Sean’s music, I would highly recommend you take a listen. Circa 1993 is a beautiful blend of Hip-Hop and Soul; it is definitely unlike any other recent projects in our scene.
