Fresh after traveling abroad with The Collective on a European missions trip, Stephen the Levite is getting personal about ‘Temptation’. The song was inspired by Stephen’s desire to be upfront about his struggles in life. The challenges he faces as a Christian, a rapper, a husband and father was something he wanted to share with his audience. His goal was to illustrate the tension between the industry and his identity as an artist.
Scouts Honor Media Co. directed the video and wanted to illustrate the way in which we struggle as we reflect on who we are. Internally, we all wear masks, and we have inner battles that only we know about. This video gives a glimpse into that inner struggle and pulls back the curtain to show the conflict that is never seen by the public.
