New Video: Quina Aragon – “Wine Mixed with Myrrh” (Spoken Word)

Written & Performed by: Quina Aragon
Title: “Wine Mixed with Myrrh”

Holy Week is a time when many focus on the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. It’s fitting, then, that Tampa spoken word artist Quina Aragon released her new piece yesterday entitled “Wine Mixed With Myrrh” shot by @Eikon.Media, SavannahLauren.com, and @Jon_Doulos. Mark 15:23 states: “They tried to give Him wine mixed with myrrh; but He did not take it.” Why did Christ refuse to drink the wine and myrrh offered Him at the cross? “Wine Mixed With Myrrh” is Quina’s poetic reflection on this, challenging the listener to consider Christ’s determination to embrace every ounce of suffering ordained for Him at the cross.
