New Music Tuesday- 5/3/2011 Feat. R.I.C.H. Boys, Altered Life, GeeDA, & Tragic Hero!

With a diverse group of artists and tracks this week, we have songs talking about who God is….to fully committing to him and his will. This week we have New Music from the R.I.C.H. Boys, Tragic Hero teams up with Big Fil and Ackdavis, Altered Life, and GeeDA!

Artist: R.I.C.H. Boys

Song: Ready to Ride
Album: Rags to Riches
Album Release Date: June 20
Label: RICH Records
Review: I almost thought that this was a Richie Righteous track. The R.I.C.H. Boys bring a very laid back track that you can bump in your car. Not much heat lyrically, but just a good feel good joint.

Artist: Altered Life

Song: The Edge
Producer: Altered Life
Album: Edifitainment
Release Date: 3rd Quarter 2011
Review: Though this track was originally for a ‘athlethis training facility,’ The Edge, Altered Life altered the song a bit to relate to our walk with Christ. Proclaiming that we must go the extra mile, to the edge, when it comes to the Gospel and your relationship with Christ. A very clever way to make this a full single, and beastly track.

Artist: GeeDA

Song: You Are
Production: GeeDA
Album: THE Final Call
Album Release Date: June 7, 2011
Review: It took me a view listens before I started to get a good feel for this track. The message describes how God’s grace and love is incredible. GeeDA hits some high points with lyricism and instrumental, but the flow tends to go too fast. Or too gritty?  Either way, I still enjoyed the song, and pressed repeat.

Artist: Tragic Hero

Song: Lullaby Feat. Big Fil and Ackdavis
Label: The Rhyme Council
Review: I’m not too much of a fan for the instrumental and the chorus, but lyrically each artist held their own. Sleep tight kiddies.
