Late last night, Lecrae was announced as one of the performers for the Rock the Bells 10 Year Anniversary Festival. The highly coveted spot pits Crae alongside artists like Big Krit, Wu-Tang Clan, Rakim, Common, Kid Cudi, Talib Kweli and Tyler the Creator in what will prove to be one of the biggest festivals of the year.
Rock the Bells 2013 — which is hosted by Murs and Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg — will feature over 30 different acts and take place across four different stops. Eazy E and Ol’ Dirty Bastard will also make special appearances, Hologram Style, similar to 2Pac at Coachella a couple of years ago.
While the Lord has blessed Lecrae to be on yet another massive platform, this isn’t the first time he has performed at one of these festivals. Many will recall that Lecrae played at Paid Dues in 2012, which is a large festival presented by Murs and Guerilla Union that attracts 15,000 people annually.
Rock The Bells will hit both the east and west coasts, making appearances in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Washington, DC. Let’s keep our brother in prayer as he has been afforded another huge opportunity to impact culture with the Gospel.
Check out the full list of 2013 Rock The Bells tour dates below, along with the full poster for the event. Rapzilla is reporting that Lecrae will perform on all four dates.
