The Christian Hip Hop community has a couple of albums that have hit stores today. The first actually came out on Sunday from former Clipse member No Malice. The project is entitled Here Ye Him and the Sunday release date coincided with his new conversion to Christianity and shift in subject matter.
The second is from former Cross Movement frontman The Ambassador. In what will likely be his last release with Xist Music, Amba serves up the 6 song EP Hors D’oeurves. In a recent interview with Wade-O Radio, Ambassador said “This project is to serve as a bridge to my album, Flame On. I wanted people to know that I’m still here and still putting it down.” While the project doesn’t drive home a particular theme in every song, listeners will see what God has placed on the Christian Hip Hop vet’s heart during this season.
For information on either of these projects, check out the interviews, album reviews, videos and articles below.
“This is everything a fan of No Malice could ever have asked for. His flow and confidence will remind fans of The Clipse but his message, maturity and humility also remind fans that he’s not Malice anymore. It’s the perfect balance that No Malice was able to master as good as anyone in his position. It’s also just great music. This truly is a fantastic record in every way. From start to finish, you will be engaged and impressed. Hear Ye Him is a great introduction to CHH and I for one am ecstatic that he’s here.” – Aubrey
