In Case You Missed It: Building the Right Creative Team (Legacy Conference 2012 Workshop)

DJ Wade-O legacy conference 2012 workshop building the right creative team

It’s easy for independent artists to feel overwhelmed with all of the activities it takes to build a great music career and ministry.  There are the tasks of writing the music, producing the music, marketing the music, booking shows to perform the music and setting up interviews to make others aware of the music. And truth be told, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

No one can do all of those things by themselves.  Unfortunately, many artists try it.  Some feel it’s their only option.  Yet others are just plain stubborn.

Last week, I was fortunate enough to conduct a workshop at the 2012 Legacy Conference designed specifically for artists entitled “Building the Right Creative Team.”  I believe that if God has called you to do this, he wouldn’t guide you somewhere that he is not prepared to provide for you at.  People resources are certainty a part of that equation.

During my workshop, I taught each attendee the following:

  • The purpose of building a team
  • What roles need to be filled on your team
  • How to clearly define rolls for each member of your perspective team
  • Specific traits to look for in perspective team members
  • How to develop a game-plan for recruiting and maintaining your team
  • How unify, grow and develop your team

Below, you will find the exact slide show that I used during this workshop.  If you’d like to download it, please utilize the sign-up form below the slide show and we will send it to you via email.

I pray these materials help you along your journey.
