Rapture Life Music, the inspirational arm of Rapture Recordz, is pleased to announce the addition of Trevor Lee to its roster. He joins fellow Houston-based recording artists Tre9 and Pyrexx who have released albums through the label.

“Trevor Lee brings so much to our team,” Rapture founder Dwan “DA1” Banks, said. “Not only can he rap, play the guitar, and sing – but he also shoots and edits his own music videos – all with a message centered around hope found in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.”

“We like to say Trevor Lee is a ‘cross creative talent.’”

After accepting Christ and the call to ministry as a teen, Trevor Lee’s music career began to take off in the mid-2000’s when he moved to Houston and linked up with Von Won’s Sheep in Wolves Clothing movement. Through association with other local musicians, his artistic development continued and led to invitations in leading worship at churches and prisons, open city-wide NGEN Radio concerts with rappers like Tedashii and Derek Minor, and film music videos with nationally-known stars like Mike Jones.

“God has really opened a lot of doors and allowed me to build great relationships,” Trevor Lee said.

“I’m thrilled to be on the same team that introduced Tre9 and Pyrexx to new audiences and love what Dwan is doing through Rapture Life. Together I believe we can push each other to even greater heights and share a message of hope and truth through honest art.”

In 2013, Rapture Life Music partnered with rapper/street evangelist Bobby “Tre9” Herring for the Missionary Minded album. Two years later the label released Born Again Disciple from Pyrexx – a former Trae tha Truth affiliate who turned his life toward Christ after meeting Tre9 during a four-year stint in a Texas State Penitentiary.

The label’s motto is “The Art of Inspiration” – an adage with particular prescience given Trevor Lee’s current battle. In late 2015, Trevor was diagnosed with T-Cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

“I know God can heal me. And along this journey I pray my fight encourages listeners who may be enduring their own physical or spiritual challenges,” Trevor Lee said.
