Collision Records signs Ki’Shon Furlow + New Video & EP Release Date

On Monday morning, Collision Records announced the signing of Little Rock, AR native Ki’Shon Furlow to its roster. The signing comes two weeks after the announcement that Collision’s first signee, Swoope, was no longer signed to the label.

Ki’Shon has become a growing name within the genre due to his battle rap videos and his October 2015 release Keep An Open Mind. Furlow now joins Alex Faith, Dre Murray and Corey Paul, who was signed to the label in early 2015, and released his Collision debut Today Tomorrow Forever in December.

Along with the announcement, Ki’Shon released the visuals for his lead single “Golden.” The video was directed by Space Cherry Films.

“Golden” is a song about fans who treat their favorite artists like a golden goose, only wanting and expecting hits—“substance or no substance, just gimme a banger.” Though he will supply, Ki’Shon also warns fans that the way some of them look to him for all of the hits, is not much different than the way others in the past looked at the golden calf.

Collision also announced that Ki’Shon is set to release his upcoming EP, Voices, March 4th. With the iTunes preorder of Voices, fans instantly receive “Golden.”

Voices Tracklisting

  1. Great Expectations
  2. Golden (feat. Alex Faith)
  3. Tom Cruise (feat. KnuOrigen & Street Hymns)
  4. Fate (feat. Dre Murray)
  5. Holy Water
  6. Presidential (feat. J. Monty)
