CHH Artist, Dwayne Reed, garners national attention with video

Artist and teacher Dwayne Reed garnered national attention earlier this week.

Instead of sending out a “Welcome Back” newsletter, Reed got creative with his approach and created the song, “Welcome to the 4th Grade,” for his students. Reed works at Jane Stenson Elementary School in Chicago, and is in his first year of teaching.

The song and video gained attention from several news outlets and has been shared multiple times amongst teachers and students. Reed has been featured on Good Morning America and had even got the attention of talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Reed is not a stranger to the Christian hip hop scene as he released a few singles, has been associated with CTZN Collective artists Kareem Manuel and Decipha, and has been featured as one of Rapzilla.com’s Freshman 15 of 2016.
