Thompson is the CEO/President of The UpLift! Group, and when it comes to a prolific resume, with 15 plus years in the industry, she has it. Thompson’s skills and duties consist of marketing, artist relations, and national and regional promotions for various gospel artists. She also shepherds and oversees operations dealing with marketing and communications.

After graduating from New York University with a degree in Music Business, Thompson started her career working for then Verity Records (now RCA Inspirations), and then moved on to Universal Records/Kedar Entertainment and Ketchum Public Relations.

Her skill sets have helped build key campaigns for her diverse clientele which consist of and have consisted of Stellar and NAACP Image Award winning and GRAMMY nominated John P. Kee, Three-time Stellar Award winning, two-time GRAMMY and GMA Dove nominated Da’ T.R.U.T.H., The Amabassador, GRAMMY and Stellar Award winning, GMA Dove nominated producer and artist J.R., and others.

Her promotional campaigns and expertise have helped promote artists and their specific projects, execute key interviews and television appearances, and promote headlining tours.

Here clients include Shai and Blair Linne, The Ambassador, Dae-Lee and others.

Thompson and The UpLift! Group have been a vital part of not only the Gospel Industry but the Christian hip hop Industry as well.

We would like to also include Unashamed Imaging founder Anesha Collins. A full feature will be done on her soon.

Are there any other women in the Christian hip hop Industry that it couldn’t function without? How important do you think these women’s roles are when it comes to Christian hip hop, ministry, business, communication and fans?
